Sourcing Manager

Our client, an established children's apparel manufacturer, is looking for a highly organized and analytical Sourcing Manager to lead material sourcing initiatives and support the development of high-quality products from concept through production.

What You'll Do

• Lead sourcing and development of fabrics and raw materials across global supplier networks.
• Research market and fabric trends to drive innovative sourcing decisions.
• Analyze supplier quotes, cost breakdowns, and development scenarios to optimize cost, quality, and performance.
• Negotiate lead times, pricing, and material specifications with mills and vendors.
• Manage material approvals, testing, sampling, and development timelines.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Product Development, Quality, and Production teams to ensure successful product execution.
• Identify sourcing risks and implement proactive solutions to maintain project timelines.
• Build and maintain material libraries while identifying opportunities to leverage materials across product categories.
• Track sourcing KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and manage a Sourcing Assistant, providing guidance and development support.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Merchandising, Textiles, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in sourcing, product development, or a related role within manufacturing or high-volume production environments.
• Strong understanding of fabric and trim development, supplier management, and costing.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with PLM systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
