Activewear Designer

Our client, a wholesale manufacturing apparel company is seeking a Assistant Designer- Juniors Apparel to join their team in NYC!

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop apparel collections from initial concept through production.
• Create sketches, CADs, and technical packages.
• Collaborate with merchandising and cross-functional teams.
• Research market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive products.
• Partner with technical design and production teams.
• Communicate with vendors and manufacturing partners.
• Assist with sourcing fabrics, trims, and materials appropriate for each collection.
• Manage development timelines and ensure key project milestones are me.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 1-3 years experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experience creating technical packages and working with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and fit.
• Ability to identify trends and translate them into commercially relevant products.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendor partners.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to design.

Full Time On Site

Salary: $55k-$65k
