Our client, an established womenswear company, is seeking a Designer – Sweater Knits to manage the design and development of seasonal collections. This role is responsible for driving the design process from concept through execution, creating sophisticated, modern product that reflects a refined point of view.
Responsibilities:
- Own the design process across cut & sew knits and sweater knits categories, from initial concept through final approval
- Research trends, develop seasonal concepts, determine color & print direction, and styling details
- Manage sample development, fittings, and revisions while maintaining calendar deadlines
- Create detailed sketches, technical packages, and presentation materials
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product development to ensure product aligns with the overall collection vision and business objective
Qualifications:
- 7–10 years of sweater and knit design experience
- Strong background in contemporary or luxury sportswear
- Expertise in woven categories, tailoring, and collection-driven design
- Excellent understanding of garment construction, fabrication, fit, and silhouette
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deliveries and deadlines simultaneously
Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
