What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Product Owner - Transformation Ref: 194071 position at Forsyth Barnes?
Title: Senior Product Owner - Transformation
Industry: Consumer
Location: Pennsylvania
Salary: Up to $155,000 Benefits
About the role
We are supporting a high growth, omnichannel retailer on the build out of a new Enterprise Transformation function. Reporting directly into the Director of Enterprise Transformation, this Transformation Coach – Product and Experience role will sit at the heart of digital, data and in store experience initiatives.
You will embed into cross functional product teams, coaching them to deliver customer and business value across app, web, loyalty and in store experiences. This is a chance to join a small, senior team with direct line of sight to enterprise strategy and visible impact across the business.
What you will do
- Coach and guide product teams embedded within squads / pods, acting as the bridge between business, technology and transformation.
- Translate strategic objectives into product roadmaps, outcomes and measurable impact.
- Help teams shape and prioritise backlogs and roadmaps that are rooted in customer value rather than feature lists.
- Partner with technology to ensure requirements and use cases are clear, and that data and insights are used effectively.
- Support key programmes across:
- Retail media and media network initiatives
- Personalisation across app, web and loyalty
- In store experiential services (e.g. sports services and technology in store)
- Champion modern, agile and product centric ways of working, coaching teams and leaders through change.
- Be willing to be hands on where needed – reviewing backlogs, shaping epics and occasionally getting into tools like Jira to unblock progress.
What you will bring
- Strong foundation in product management or digital technology, ideally with a computer science or related technical background.
- Experience building and scaling digital products and platforms (consumer app, ecommerce, loyalty, or internal digital tools).
- Proven track record acting as a coach or transformation leader within agile or product organisations – not just a delivery manager.
- Ability to translate business strategy into clear outcomes, roadmaps and priorities for teams.
- Confidence working across business, product, design, data and engineering stakeholders.
- Industry experience in consumer / retail, grocery, pharmacy, or similar omnichannel environments is strongly preferred; modern FinTech or banking with online and branch presence is also relevant.
- Comfort working in a hands on, “small and mighty” team, where you are close to the work as well as the strategy.
- Willingness to be Pittsburgh based (hybrid environment).
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
