Finance & Business Operations Manager
About the Company
A fast-growing, profitable consumer products company is seeking a Finance & Business Operations Manager to partner directly with the CEO and help scale the business through its next phase of growth. The company has achieved significant year-over-year revenue growth, is EBITDA-positive, and is focused on expanding distribution, launching new products, and maintaining strong financial discipline.
Position Overview
This highly visible role serves as the financial and operational backbone of the organization, balancing day-to-day execution with strategic analysis. Approximately 70% of the role is focused on operational finance and business management, while 30% is dedicated to forecasting, process improvement, and strategic decision support.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
- Manage daily cash flow, liquidity, AP/AR, payroll oversight, and payment approvals
- Oversee accounts receivable collections and financing/factoring processes
- Support month-end close, accruals, lender reporting, and financial controls
- Coordinate with outsourced accounting and finance partners
FP&A & Business Analysis
- Maintain rolling forecasts, budgets, and financial models
- Conduct profitability, pricing, and scenario analyses
- Monitor KPIs and provide actionable business insights
- Support strategic initiatives, product launches, and growth planning
Business Operations
- Partner with sales, operations, and supply chain teams
- Support forecasting and integrated business planning processes
- Analyze trade spend effectiveness and customer profitability
- Provide financial support for retailer launches and commercial decisions
Leadership Support
- Prepare executive and board-level reporting
- Serve as a key thought partner to the CEO
- Drive process improvements and identify AI-enabled efficiencies
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of progressive finance, FP&A, or finance/operations experience
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
- Experience managing cash flow and working capital
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis capabilities
- Ability to thrive in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong communication and cross-functional partnership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
Preferred Experience
- Consumer products, food & beverage, or CPG industry background
- Inventory-based business experience
- Trade spend, promotional analysis, and customer profitability experience
- Startup or high-growth company experience
- Familiarity with ERP, accounting, planning, and financial management systems
