Are you a Certified Pharmacy Technician looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in the healthcare industry? Our client is seeking a Pharmacy Technician 2 to join their team. This role involves supporting pharmacy operations through medication preparation, inventory management, medication distribution, and quality control — all under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities

Medication Preparation & Dispensing

• Fill prescriptions accurately based on physician orders
• Label and package medications for distribution
• Operate a pre-packaging machine for unit-dose medications
• Conduct quality checks before dispensing medications
  
  

Inventory Management

• Order, stock, and organize medications and supplies
• Monitor inventory levels and expiration dates
• Reconcile invoices using pharmacy software systems
  
  

Delivery & Distribution

• Transport medications to and from nursing stations and patient units
• Respond to urgent or STAT medication requests
• Maintain floor stock levels throughout the facility
  
  

Administrative Support

• Answer phone calls from nurses and physicians
• Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately
• Perform routine inspections of medication rooms
  
  

Quality Control & Compliance

• Identify and report potential medication errors or discrepancies
• Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (Required)
• At least 2 years of pharmacy experience (Required)
• Active Pharmacy Technician Certification (Required)
• Proficient with pharmacy software and comfortable using technology
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a hospital or institutional pharmacy setting
• Knowledge of electronic health records and medication management systems
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  
  

Additional Requirements

• Pharmacy Tech Certification/License Must be Active.
• Will be required to do a fingerprint background check.
• Must be on time everyday.
  
  

Candidates must have their Pharmacy License or Certificate active.
