Client Services Administrative Assistant (Seasonal)

Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour

Employment Type: Temporary / Seasonal

Duration: 5 months

Work Location: Onsite, Decatur, GA

Shift Coverage: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM

  • Shift A: Morning 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Shift B: Afternoon 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM Schedules are issued every two weeks. Flexibility is essential (e.g., occasional 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM shifts).

Position Summary

The Seasonal Client Services Administrative Assistant will play a key role in ensuring smooth office operations during the firm’s busiest season. This position requires professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Due to the sensitive nature of this role, a criminal background check is required.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Phone Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming calls, ensuring prompt and courteous service
  • Greet clients and provide assistance with professionalism and empathy
  • Navigate high-stress or challenging client interactions with tact and calmness

Administrative Support & Office Coordination

  • Schedule appointments and maintain staff calendars
  • Create, organize, and maintain electronic and physical filing systems (heavy paper filing)
  • Support senior managers by handling administrative requests and inquiries
  • Receive and route messages for tax preparers and managers accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain office cleanliness and organization in partnership with team members
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Tax Office Manager

Required Qualifications

  • Must reside near Decatur or Downtown Atlanta
  • Previous experience in administrative support and/or customer service
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills, both in person and over the phone
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • High integrity, reliability, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Willingness to work overtime during peak periods
  • Comfort working in an office with a small, friendly dog

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a tax firm, public accounting office, or financial services environment
  • Previous experience supporting seasonal or high-volume operational cycles
