Pay Rate: $21.50 per hour

Job Overview

Focus People is partnering with a hotel in the Cumberland area of Atlanta to find a skilled Hospitality Engineer.

This role requires a unique blend of technical skill and customer service. You will be a vital part of the team, responsible for maintaining the property while consistently delivering a top-tier guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance and urgent repairs on hotel equipment, systems, and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC mechanical systems using proven skills.
• Execute light drywall and carpentry repairs as required in guest rooms and public spaces.
• Work closely with hotel staff to efficiently address maintenance requests.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and concerns, ensuring issues are resolved with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Ensure full compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  
  

Qualifications And Requirements

The client emphasizes the service aspect of this role. We are seeking an Engineer with a friendly and approachable attitude.

• Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Must be professional, friendly, and able to confidently engage with guests and staff.
• Technical Experience: Relevant training or experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, drywall, and some carpentry experience.
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and some carpentry experience preferred
• Proactive Attitude: Must possess strong problem-solving skills and a proven ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism.
• Language Diversity Valued: English proficiency is NOT required for this role. We strongly encourage applications from all language backgrounds, as the client provides real-time translation technology for seamless on-site communication. (Spanish is a plus!)
• Compliance: As part of our standard hiring process, candidates will complete a Drug Screen and a Criminal Background Check before starting work.
• Uniform: You will provide and wear a black shirt and black khaki pants.
