We are seeking an experienced IT Asset Management Analyst to support enterprise IT operations, with a strong focus on hardware inventory, software licensing, purchasing, and reporting. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate asset tracking, compliance, and operational efficiency across the organization.
This position also has a strong emphasis on ServiceNow and ITSM processes, supporting workflows, approvals, reporting, and end-user service catalog guidance. The ideal candidate is highly process-oriented, detail-driven, and analytically strong, with the ability to manage data, documentation, and cross-functional coordination.
This is a hybrid role (3 days onsite) in Camden, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain IT asset inventory, including laptops, hardware, and related equipment
- Perform regular audits and reconciliation of hardware and software assets, identifying discrepancies and ensuring accuracy
- Generate and analyze weekly and monthly reports related to asset tracking, compliance, and licensing
- Support hardware and software purchasing, including vendor coordination, quote collection, and purchase order preparation
- Track and manage software licenses, ensuring compliance and accurate allocation
- Utilize ServiceNow to support ITSM processes, including managing approval workflows, assisting with service catalog requests, reviewing ticket submissions, and supporting dashboards/reporting
- Assist with onboarding workflows, including account validation and system checks across platforms
- Develop and maintain process documentation and knowledge base articles
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and workflow optimization
- Perform data analysis in Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and reporting visualization
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support IT operations
- Provide occasional support to desktop support teams as needed
Requirements
- Experience in IT Asset Management, inventory control, or IT operations support
- Strong experience with ServiceNow and familiarity with ITSM workflows (required)
- Proven experience with hardware/software purchasing and license management
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Experience with reporting and data analysis in an IT environment
- Strong understanding of process documentation and workflow management
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Experience with SCCM, Intune, or Active Directory is a plus
- Previous exposure to desktop support environments is preferred
