We are partnering with a well-established commercial services organization to identify a Bookkeeper / Office Manager for an immediate temp-to-perm opportunity. This is a fully onsite role supporting a small, collaborative accounting team and reporting directly to the Accounting Manager.
This position is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with full-charge bookkeeping experience who also enjoys managing day-to-day office operations.
Position Overview
The Bookkeeper / Office Manager will support the Accounting Department while overseeing daily office administrative functions. This role requires strong QuickBooks expertise, solid accounting fundamentals, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process sales orders, invoicing, billing, petty cash, credit card payments, and collections
- Perform all monthly account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks, including proper general ledger coding
- Prepare and file sales tax returns
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports
- Process payroll for a small affiliated entity
- Review invoices for accuracy and approval prior to entry into QuickBooks
- Enter accounts payable and manage customer invoicing
- Maintain billing control schedules and operational spreadsheets in Excel
- Notify senior management of accounting discrepancies or errors
- Maintain organized office files and records
- Manage office supplies and vendor coordination
- Oversee administrative systems, including digital phone systems
- Support continuous improvement of office procedures and daily operations
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 3 years of QuickBooks experience (required)
- 2 years of full-charge bookkeeping experience (required)
- 3 years of experience across AR, AP, payroll, customer service, and office management
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and administrative best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general office systems
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
