Payroll Manager - Up to $100k
Our client, a well-established professional services organization, is looking to hire Payroll Manager. This is a true manager-level role with hands-on payroll processing responsibility and leadership of one direct report. The position is 100% payroll-focused. ***3 days in office, 2 days remote
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end, multi-state payroll processing using ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of wages, bonuses, commissions, and reimbursements
- Oversee payroll tax compliance (federal, state, local), garnishments, and deductions
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end payroll reconciliations, including W-2s
- Maintain payroll data integrity within HRIS and timekeeping systems
- Supervise and mentor payroll staff; serve as escalation point for complex payroll issues
- Partner closely with HR, Accounting, and external payroll vendors
Qualifications
- 10 years of payroll experience, including 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong multi-state payroll and compliance expertise (FLSA, taxes, garnishments)
- Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now required
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; CPP certification strongly preferred
Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
