We are looking for a Racquets Court Attendant to join the Fiddler’s Family and share their passion for hospitality with our members, guests, and fellow staff members. Fiddler’s Elbow hosts a wide range of events from comedy shows and concerts to Fourth of July celebrations and New Year’s Eve festivities, our annual FiddleFest Music and Food Festival, Member White-Out Party, golf outings and sporting events. We also host smaller clubs within the Club, such as our beloved Book Club and Cigar Club. Our members host many private events like weddings, social events, and celebrations of life milestones.
Assist in the organization of all tennis activities, platform tennis activities, pickleball activities, events, exhibitions, tournaments, clinics, and lessons.
Essential Functions:
- Assists in the organization and execution of tournaments, exhibitions, and inter and intra club social events
- Assists in the administration and enforcement of club tennis and platform tennis policies and procedures
- Performs equipment repairs
- Assists in the day-to-day operation of the tennis pro shop
- Cleanliness, orderliness, stocking, etc.
- Provides Members and Guests courteous, prompt, and professional attention for all their racquets needs
- Markets racquets facilities and programs to Members and Guests
- Maintains accurate records of all lessons and clinics given
- Completes other appropriate assignments as directed by the DoR
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations:
- Ability to work well with all staff members of Fiddler’s Elbow
- Knowledge of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to all racquet sports
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Stamina to tolerate hot and humid as well as cold outdoor weather for several consecutive hours
- Continuous standing, walking, running, bending, stopping, and repetitive actions
- Frequent use of light machinery and hand-held tools
- Frequent lifting and moving of objects
- Possess mobility and the ability to use both hands, arms and legs
