Job Title: Recruiter – Food Processing FacilityJob Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Recruiter to join our team and support hiring efforts within our fast-paced food processing facility. The Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding qualified candidates for production, warehouse, maintenance, quality, and administrative positions. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers, and the ability to manage multiple open positions in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience recruiting within a manufacturing, food processing, or industrial environment and understands the importance of finding reliable employees who support safety, quality, and operational goals.

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating hiring decisions.
• Recruit for high-volume production, packaging, sanitation, warehouse, maintenance, and skilled labor positions.
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates through job boards, community outreach, referrals, networking, and recruiting events.
• Partner with hiring managers and supervisors to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
• Conduct phone screens and in-person interviews to evaluate candidate qualifications, work history, availability, and cultural fit.
• Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug screenings, employment verification, and onboarding paperwork.
• Assist with new hire orientation and ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
• Maintain accurate candidate records within applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR systems.
• Track recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, applicant flow, and hiring activity.
• Support employee retention efforts by helping create a positive candidate and onboarding experience.
• Ensure recruiting practices comply with company policies and applicable employment laws.
• Represent the company professionally at job fairs, community events, and recruiting activities.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recruiting experience preferred, preferably in manufacturing, food processing, warehouse, or industrial environments.
• Experience managing high-volume hourly recruiting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of recruiting methods, interviewing techniques, and candidate sourcing strategies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with candidates at all levels.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple openings and deadlines.
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, Microsoft Office, and recruiting platforms.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Recruiting production associates in a food manufacturing environment.
• Experience hiring for USDA, HACCP, food safety, sanitation, or quality-controlled environments.
• Familiarity with hourly workforce challenges, attendance expectations, and employee retention strategies.
• Experience partnering with operations leadership to meet staffing goals.

Work Environment

• This position will work in an active food processing/manufacturing environment.
• Must be comfortable spending time on the production floor and interacting with employees and candidates.
• May require flexibility to support recruiting needs across different shifts.

Pay: $18.50 - $30.00 per hour
