Responsibilities
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counting, cycle counts, and inventory control to maintain accuracy across all warehouse locations.
- Support warehouse operations such as picking & packing, shipping & receiving, and materials handling to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Coordinate transportation planning and management using transportation management systems (TMS) to optimize freight routes and delivery schedules.
- Help oversee warehouse distribution activities, including dispatching, category management, and warehouse management system (WMS) updates.
- Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to facilitate purchasing processes and manage supplier relationships.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives by analyzing supply chain data and recommending efficiencies in logistics workflows.
- Assist with freight coordination, including working with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and fleet management for smooth transportation operations.
Experience
- Prior experience in supply chain management, logistics, or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, ERP platforms (such as AS400 or similar), and transportation management systems is essential.
- Hands-on warehouse experience including forklift operation, materials handling, packaging, and shipping & receiving is preferred.
- Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret supply chain analytics for process optimization.
- Knowledge of demand planning, procurement procedures, category management, and sourcing strategies will be advantageous.
- Experience working with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or similar tools for maintenance scheduling is a plus.
