Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, excavators, bulldozers, graders, and backhoes in accordance with operational and safety guidelines.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions or repairs needed.
- Safely move earth, rock, gravel, or other materials as required by project specifications.
- Assist with loading and unloading of materials when necessary.
- Follow site-specific safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with site supervisors, team members, and other onsite personnel.
- Ensure equipment is cleaned and stored properly at the end of each shift.
- Proficient operation of various heavy equipment types.
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in the construction industry.
- Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
- Effective verbal communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of equipment safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to pass drug screening.
- Certification from an accredited heavy equipment training program.
- Experience working on diverse construction sites.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform strenuous physical tasks.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and in variable environments.
- Ability to stand, sit, and operate equipment for extended periods.
