Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced GPS/Surveyor (Trimble) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting land and site surveys using Trimble GPS technology and related instruments. This role involves field data collection, modeling, analysis, setting grades and reporting for engineering, construction, or environmental projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field surveys and gather data using Trimble GPS equipment.
- Process, analyze, and interpret survey data using specialized software.
- Prepare accurate models, maps, setting grades, and documentation to support project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver survey results.
- Must have experience operating, maintaining and troubleshooting Trimble GPS equipment.
- Update survey records and databases with relevant information.
- Proficiency in using Trimble GPS systems, data collectors, and related software.
- Strong knowledge of surveying principles, methods, and procedures.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and maps.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Problem-solving aptitude, especially with building models for GPS units and troubleshooting survey equipment.
- Physical stamina for working outdoors in various environments.
- Prefer Associate's degree or higher in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in land/site surveying using Trimble equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with the ability to travel to project sites within Arizona.
- Knowledge of local and national surveying standards and regulations.
- Professional Surveyor license or certification (where applicable).
- Experience with GIS software and integration.
- Additional experience working in construction or environmental projects.
- Knowledge of modern survey automation and mobile data collection practices.
