What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator position at Mohave Construction Services?
HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Immediate opening for experienced heavy equipment operator(s) with a minimum 3-5 years’ experience operating excavators, dozers, blades, loaders, skid steers and other pieces of heavy equipment.
Pay depending on experience levels.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Ability to operate efficiently and safely.
· Able to get off the machine and work when needed.
· Conduct routine mobile equipment inspections and assure normal operation of the equipment.
· Perform all duties within safety guidelines set up by M.S.H.A. and company policy.
· Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed.
· Good critical thinking skills with the ability to observe and assess situations and anticipate issues before they occur.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Employee may be required to work in environments that may include exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, dust, and noise.
- Keep worksite clean and organized free from unnecessary hazards.
- Load and unload equipment and materials.
· Experience working a mining/industrial environment a plus.
Requirements
· Flexibility to stay late when necessary with little or no notice.
· Must have reliable transportation and be dependable.
· Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens (including Marijuana)
· Valid Driver’s License.
