Position Summary:
The Office and Resource Coordinator plays a vital role in connecting clients with the resources they need while representing Families First of Minnesota as the first point of contact. This client-facing role requires excellent communication skills, resource coordination, and a passion for community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Client-Facing and Frontline Support
- Serve as the welcoming face of the organization at the front desk.
- Manage all incoming phone communication and maintain agency phone and fax systems.
- Provide intake services and follow-up support to clients.
- Assist visitors and on-site staff with access to services.
Community Engagement and Advocacy
- Develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies, particularly those serving culturally diverse and at-risk populations.
- Support advocacy efforts and referrals within the agency.
- Track and support outreach activities.
Administrative and Operational Support
- Maintain client records and complete reporting as required.
- Provide administrative support to various departments.
- Manage office supplies, conference room use, and general office upkeep.
- Handle agency mail and postage.
Communications and Marketing
- Support Communications and Development Manager with projects.
Organizational Participation
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and fulfill other duties as assigned.
- Represent Families First of Minnesota professionally in all interactions.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in social services working with at-risk families and individuals.
- Associate's degree or higher preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations strongly desired.
- Nonprofit experience preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and general office equipment.
- Knowledge of Southern Minnesota resources preferred.
- Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Background in digital media or marketing is a plus.
Salary & Benefits:
This exempt position is scheduled 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 A.M.-4:30 P.M. Compensation is based upon education level, starting up to $21-24 an hour. Benefits include Health Insurance, Dental, Vision, Life, Long-Term Disability and 403(b) Retirement Savings, in addition to, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays and personal holidays.
