What are the responsibilities and job description for the Precision Grinder position at EZEFLOW USA INC?
Ezeflow USA, Inc. – Flowline Division is seeking a detailed oriented Precision Grinder to join our manufacturing team. This role supports our operations by grinding work pieces to groove, bevel, round, or straighten edges or remove excess stock form metal as specified by drawings, job orders, or guidelines or to remove defects.
The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing experience, be reliable, have measuring skills, prior grinding experience, and be able to operate a forklift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
- Examines and measures surface roughness of work piece for defects
- Works under the direction of the inspection department to prepare surfaces for non-destructive testing inspections and corrects any dimensional deviations as needed
- Positions workpiece manually or by using jib of crane
- Selects grade of abrasive belt, wheel, or disk according to specifications, knowledge of abrasives, and condition of metal, and attaches to grinder. Inserts selected grinding wheel or cutting chisel into portable grinder or power hammer
- Positions and manually guides tool along specified guidelines on edge or surface of workpiece
- Starts grinder and moves it over surface of workpiece to remove scratches, laminated metal, excess weld material, sharp edges or burrs
- Chips or grinds out pits or cracks
- Grinds, chips, or brushes off excess weld, splatter, and rust to improve appearance of work piece
- Polishes ground areas with finer abrasive to produce smooth, unmarred surface
- Stamps workpiece
- Replaces worn abrasive disks, wheels, and belts
- Operates forklift
Work Schedule:
- First Shift: 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Tuesday through Friday)
- Overtime as needed based upon production needs
