Extension Recruiting is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for our client in Jackson, WI; our ideal candidate will be able to maintain and repair the company's fleet of vehicles, heavy equipment, and small engines to support construction projects across the country. This position is hands-on, making it ideal for someone who likes to diagnose problems and work on a variety of equipment!
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet vehicles, heavy equipment, trailers, and small engines
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, brake, transmission, steering, and engine-related issues
- Complete safety inspections and ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently
- Perform welding and light fabrication as needed to support repairs
- Support preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience with vehicle or fleet maintenance
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to operate forklifts and other powered equipment
- Welding and fabrication experience (preferred)
Salary : $30 - $40
