Due to continued growth and recent expansion efforts, American State Equipment is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their team in Milwaukee, WI.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide range of heavy equipment in a shop environment
  • Perform troubleshooting across mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Complete preventative maintenance and routine service to ensure equipment reliability
  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble components following manufacturer guidelines and best practices
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and verify repairs
  • Read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and work orders to complete jobs accurately
  • Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and time tracking
  • Coordinate with parts and service teams to ensure timely completion of repairs
  • Keep the shop organized, clean, and safe at all times
  • Assist with equipment movement, setup, and preparation for jobs as needed
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
