The Senior Contract Administration Analyst is responsible for managing and overseeing contract lifecycle activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with business objectives. This role leverages Workday to administer contract data, support billing and revenue processes, and drive operational efficiency. The Senior Analyst acts as a key partner to Legal, Finance, and Operations, handling complex agreements and providing guidance on contract-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer end-to-end contract lifecycle activities including contract setup, maintenance, amendments, and renewals within Workday
- Review contract terms to ensure accurate setup of billing schedules, pricing, and revenue recognition alignment
- Translate contractual agreements into system configurations and financial outputs
- Monitor contract compliance, identify risks, and escalate discrepancies or issues
- Partner with Legal, Finance, Sales, and Operations to resolve contract-related inquiries and disputes
- Support billing and revenue teams by ensuring contract data integrity and alignment with invoicing processes
- Perform reconciliations between contract data, billing outputs, and financial records
- Lead or support month-end and year-end close activities related to contract accounting
- Drive process improvements, standardization, and automation initiatives
- Participate in system enhancements, testing, and configuration updates within Workday
- Develop reporting, metrics, and dashboards to monitor contract performance and compliance
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 4–7 years of experience in contract administration, billing, or financial operations
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday (Contracts, Financials, or Revenue modules)
- Solid understanding of contract structures, pricing models, and financial implications
- Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, pivot tables, lookups)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage complex agreements
- Knowledge of revenue recognition standards (ASC 606)
- Experience working with Legal teams on contract interpretation
- Familiarity with other ERP or contract management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Ariba)
- Experience in shared services or global delivery environments
