You Will
- Lead the end-to-end development of proposals, bids, and pursuits, ensuring strategic alignment with goals.
- Demonstrate an aptitude to pay special attention to detail, increase efficiencies, and technology-focused solutions and identify cutting-edge resources to streamline processes.
- Demonstrate the ability to cultivate relationships with internal and external customers and strategic partners.
- Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, proactively manage the sales pipeline, and contribute collaboratively and innovatively.
- You will write proposals, SOWs, and other deal pursuit documents of various sizes, in a compelling and persuasive way to meet client needs, effectively present and our services, and win business.
- You will support new, current, and ongoing pursuits, providing strategic insights and hands-on contributions.
- Lead the proposal process, including identifying new RFPs, evaluating bid considerations, and drafting proposals (for example: introductions, client references, consulting approach, and services delivered).
- Lead kick-off meetings and strategy sessions to craft strong win themes, messaging, and value propositions.
- Collaborate with internal teams on proposal development, contract execution, resource alignment, recruitment needs, and pricing.
- Analyze RFQ/P requirements to ensure requirements are met including key dates, qualification, eligibility and deadlines are met and apply consistency, accuracy, and adherence to standard operating procedures and methodical quality control assurance (ie, requirements matrix).
- Create and maintain a language units data base or content library of proprietary language, product and services descriptions, and win themes.
- Manage CRM from intake to engagement including accurate file setup and structure, adhering to standards and naming convention.
- Manage the Sales Pipeline of opportunities by collaborating with Sales leaders to determine priority, schedules, deliverables, and progress tracking across multiple pursuits simultaneously, including presenting pipeline status and progress through sales delivery cycle.
- Identify and develop marketing collateral for deal pursuits, including preparation of presentations, materials, pitch decks, case studies, and follow-up documentation.
- Partner with Sales leaders, Engagement Managers, and others to develop complete proposals, oversee proposal submissions, and conduct after action reviews to capture learnings.
- Strengthen existing customer relationships and contribute to customer retention and upsell efforts including accurate processing of contract amendments and extensions.
- Monitor proposal responses, timelines, and other sales performance metrics, such as win/loss ratios, time to close, and deal size to report on sales activities and participate on internal meetings.
- Experienced in consulting environments.
- 5 years of experience in proposal writing and management or business development — preferably in a consulting, professional services, healthcare or technology environment.
- Expert communicator: Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
- Technically savvy: Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and CRM platforms.
- Business acumen: Understanding of procurement processes, contract vehicles, and project lifecycles.
- Relationship builder: Proven ability to collaborate and influence across functions and levels.
- Detail-driven strategist: You can manage complex timelines with great attention to detail while never losing sight of quality and impact.
- Able to attend and actively participate in meetings regularly. (You will work from your home office and attend meetings remotely.)
- Prior experience leading a program in the healthcare industry.
- Familiarity with technology enhancements and SDLC/PDLC.
- PMP or LEAN Six Sigma certification.
