What's the Job?
- Provide technical coordination and support for the Melt Shop and Rolling Mill to develop and refine operating procedures ensuring quality standards are met.
- Evaluate customer requirements and product specifications, aligning them with production capabilities and capacities.
- Lead product trials, supervise evaluations, and report on-site material reviews at customer facilities to identify opportunities for product enhancement.
- Develop and communicate engineering and operational data necessary for producing billets and finished products that meet customer specifications.
- Collaborate with operational and quality teams to ensure equipment operates correctly, maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Extensive knowledge of steelmaking production processes, metallurgy, and modern rolling practices.
- A four-year degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a steelmaking environment, preferably with quality control or metallurgy expertise.
- Strong ability to independently apply metallurgical fundamentals to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external customers.
