Manufacturing Engineer II

Our client, a leader in the medical device manufacturing industry, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to join their team. As a Manufacturing Engineer II, you will be part of the Advanced Engineering Department supporting innovative product development and production processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer II

Location:Menlo Park, CA

Pay Range: $45-50/hr

What's the Job?

• Own the design and development of fixtures and equipment, in Solidworks, for testing and manufacturing of medical devices.
• Design and document robust equipment and processes capable of a high level of quality.
• Write design specifications and equipment qualification protocols, particularly for hardware and software that transmits data.
• Manage procurement of parts and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate documentation and workflow tasks, contributing to process automation and efficiency.
  
  
  

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing equipment design, build, and commissioning.
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks, with experience creating models and fabrication drawings of assemblies and machined components.
• Familiarity with Design For Manufacturability, tolerances, and assembly processes including fasteners and 3D printing.
• Experience testing equipment and writing detailed documentation such as acceptance testing protocols and qualification procedures.
