Our client, a leading organization in the logistics and transportation industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join their team. As a Logistics Specialist, you will be an integral part of the logistics support team, ensuring the seamless execution of transportation operations. Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan

Pay Range: $30.87

What's the Job?

• Track and trace full-truckload, less than truckload, parcel, and expedited shipments within Steelcase logistics to ensure on-time delivery.
• Communicate effectively with carriers, brokers, and internal teams via email and phone to coordinate transportation activities.
• Review claims, complete reports, and support day-to-day transportation logistics operations.
• Utilize transportation management systems and GPS carrier tracking tools to monitor shipment status and performance.
• Contribute to maintaining high standards of delivery performance, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
  
  
  

What's Needed?

• Experience with Microsoft tools such as Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Transportation experience involving dispatching, tendering, shipment tracing, or related roles.
• Effective communication skills for internal and external stakeholder engagement.
• Helpful: SAP knowledge, transportation management systems, GPS tracking tools, and data visibility platforms like Smartsheet or Tableau.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, on-site environment during normal business hours.
