This key role will oversee the day-to-day operational performance across our multi-brand, multi-state retail and service footprint, ensuring operational excellence, safety, efficiency, profitability, and alignment with family-owned values.

This position demands a hands-on leader with strong retail/multi-site management experience, preferably in convenience store, fuel retail, quick-service, or automotive service industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive oversight of daily operations for 100 locations and support facilities across multiple states, ensuring consistent execution of brand standards, customer service excellence, and operational policies.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, increase profitability, and support revenue growth initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of regional/district managers, operations supervisors, and corporate support staff; foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, safety, and teamwork.
- Oversee key performance metrics including sales, labor costs, inventory management, shrink/loss prevention, food service quality, facility maintenance, and compliance.
- Collaborate with departments such as Fuel/Wholesale, Marketing, HR, IT, Construction/Facilities, and Finance to align operations with company goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, technology adoption (POS systems, inventory tools, etc.), vendor management, and supply chain efficiencies.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA, food safety, fuel handling, environmental standards, labor laws).
- Support new store openings, acquisitions, remodels, and market expansions by coordinating operational readiness and seamless integration.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and economic factors in the Permian Basin and beyond to inform operational decisions.
- Prepare regular operational reports, forecasts, and presentations for executive leadership and ownership.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10 years of progressive operations leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior multi-site retail, with multi-unit operators reporting to you in your current role, convenience store, truck stop or travel center experience a must.
- Proven track record managing 50 locations or equivalent scale in a distributed retail/service environment.
- Experience in convenience store/fuel retail, quick-service restaurants, or related industries is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in driving same-store sales growth, cost control, team development, and operational excellence.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L responsibilities at a regional or divisional level.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
- Proficiency with retail operating systems, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Willingness to travel regularly (up to 50%) to stores and facilities across the operating footprint.
- Familiarity with West Texas markets and the energy sector's impact on retail operations.
- Experience with acquisitions, integrations, or rapid expansion.
- Knowledge of food service management, tire/lube operations, or fuel logistics.
