What are the responsibilities and job description for the Petroleum Installation Foreman position at Executive Leadership Solutions?
The Petroleum Installation Foreman is responsible for leading and overseeing petroleum system installation projects from start to finish. This role supervises crews in the field, ensures work is completed safely and to code, coordinates with project managers and clients, and maintains quality, schedule, and compliance standards on all fueling system installations.
• Oversee installation of fuel systems including tanks, piping, dispensers, sumps, shear valves, and monitoring systems
• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations (EPA, OSHA, UST requirements)
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications
• Coordinate daily job site activities, manpower, materials, and equipment
• Perform and document pressure testing, inspections, and system commissioning
• Enforce safety policies, conduct job hazard analyses, and maintain safe work practices
• Communicate job progress, issues, and change orders to project management
• Train, mentor, and evaluate field technicians and installers
• Maintain accurate job documentation, daily reports, and as-built records
• Interface professionally with customers, inspectors, and subcontractors
• Previous foreman or lead installer experience strongly preferred
• Strong working knowledge of UST systems, piping, and dispenser installations
• Ability to read blueprints and construction plans
• Familiarity with EPA, OSHA, and state UST regulations
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to travel and work extended hours as required
Preferred Certifications (or ability to obtain)
• Veeder-Root, Gilbarco, Wayne, or OPW certifications
• OSHA 10 or 30
• Confined Space and HAZWOPER (a plus)
