Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the evening nursing team, ensuring high-quality resident care in compliance with facility policies and state/federal regulations.
- Collaborate with the Director and Associate Director of Nursing to plan, develop, and optimize daily nursing operations.
- Participate in facility surveys and inspections, ensuring readiness and compliance.
- Oversee staffing levels to maintain safe and efficient operations throughout the shift.
- Conduct regular rounds, providing guidance, feedback, and performance monitoring for staff.
- Manage and escalate staff concerns or grievances as appropriate.
- Welcome and support new residents during admission, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
- Accompany physicians on rounds and assist with comprehensive nursing assessments.
- Supervise medication administration and treatments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to physician orders.
- Provide hands-on nursing care as needed, supporting residents directly.
- Participate in performance evaluations for LPNs and CNAs, fostering professional growth and accountability.
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
- Current and valid RN license in Florida.
- Minimum of 2 years direct care experience in long-term care, restorative, or geriatric settings.
- At least 1 year of nursing management or supervisory experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with a passion for resident-centered care.
