Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support the evening nursing team to ensure exceptional resident care.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and federal guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and Assistant Director of Nursing to optimize daily clinical operations.
- Monitor staffing levels and make adjustments as needed to maintain safe resident care.
- Conduct rounds throughout the facility to assess resident needs and support nursing staff.
- Address and escalate staff concerns or issues appropriately.
- Assist with admissions and ensure new residents receive a smooth and welcoming transition.
- Accompany physicians during rounds and assist with resident assessments and care planning.
- Oversee medication administration and treatments to ensure accuracy and compliance with physician orders.
- Provide direct nursing care when needed.
- Participate in employee coaching, performance evaluations, and staff development initiatives.
- Support survey readiness efforts and assist during state and federal inspections.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current and active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of two (2) years of direct care experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, restorative, or geriatric nursing.
- At least one (1) year of supervisory or nursing management experience preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong leadership, communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
