Accounting Assistant

We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to contribute to our continued success. The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting financial operations within an industrial plant environment. This role focuses on ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable data, maintaining organized records, and assisting with other accounting functions as needed. The Accounting Clerk plays a critical role in upholding the quality and efficiency of financial processes, supporting the facility's overall operational success.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts receivable data, including preparing and sending invoices to customers.
• Maintain accurate and organized filing of accounts receivable documents.
• Ensure accuracy and quality of pricing and billing processes in alignment with company standards.
• Assist with other accounting functions as needed to support the department.
• Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel to complete daily tasks and maintain records.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data with attention to detail.
• Adapt to evolving processes and handle a high volume of work efficiently.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience, with a preference for accounts receivable (AR) or similar functions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage a large volume of data accurately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
• Ability to adapt to complex pricing and billing processes.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills and a willingness to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
