What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at EXCEL Group?
EXCEL Group is a renowned industrial contractor with a commitment to excellence and a track record of delivering exceptional projects. We are seeking a Shipping Clerk for one of our maintenance facilities in Calvert City, KY.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate shipments, prepare bills of lading and Certificate of Analysis for marine shipments.
- Assist with posting shipments both in and out of terminals.
- Assist with reconciling end of month inventories.
- Interact with other departments in the plant, railroad personnel, and barge personnel as necessary to ensure adherence to department policies for shipping to customers.
- Provide back up to team members when needed.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate.
- Additional business school or college work preferable.
- Proficient with PC and various software applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Work experience with SAP and shipping preferred.
