Overview:
Responsible for implementing and maintaining safety programs to ensure a secure working environment for all employees. The Safety Technician will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating potential hazards, promoting safety awareness, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Qualification Standards:
- BCSP CSP certification preferred, and/or NCCER CSST.
- Proven experience as an Industrial Safety Technician or a similar role.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct effective training sessions.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Certification in safety-related disciplines is a plus.
Responsibilities:

Safety Inspections:
- Conduct regular inspections of industrial facilities to identify and assess potential safety hazards.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to address and rectify safety issues promptly.

Risk Assessment:
- Perform comprehensive risk assessments to determine potential dangers and recommend appropriate preventive measures.
- Analyze incident reports to identify trends and develop strategies to reduce the risk of accidents.

Safety Training:
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, emphasizing best practices and compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with department managers to tailor training sessions to specific job roles and responsibilities.

Emergency Response Planning:
- Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans.
- Conduct drills and simulations to ensure employees are well-prepared for emergencies.

Compliance Monitoring:
- Stay up-to-date with relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
- Ensure that the company is in compliance with all applicable safety laws and regulations.

Incident Investigation:
- Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses.
- Analyze root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Safety Communication:
- Foster a culture of safety by promoting open communication and reporting of safety concerns.
- Prepare and distribute safety communications to keep employees informed about potential risks and best practices.

- Oversee the selection, distribution, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Ensure that employees are trained on the correct use and maintenance of PPE.
