Key Responsibilities
The Account Executive owns the full sales cycle for a technical SaaS platform, from discovery and solution mapping through negotiation, close, and expansion. The role works with engineering, IT, security, and business stakeholders to connect cloud-based workflows, APIs, integrations, and data products to measurable operational outcomes.
You will manage a defined territory and pipeline in a consultative, metrics-driven environment. The role matters because it turns complex technical capabilities into clear business value, helping customers modernize systems, improve productivity, and adopt software that becomes part of their core operating model.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle across prospecting, discovery, demos, technical validation, procurement, negotiation, and close
- Build and maintain qualified pipeline through account planning, outbound prospecting, inbound follow-up, and partner referrals
- Lead discovery with technical and business stakeholders to identify workflows, integration requirements, security concerns, and success criteria
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations using CRM, sales-engagement, and presentation tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, and Zoom
- Partner with solutions engineers and customer success managers to develop evaluation plans, proof-of-concept requirements, implementation expectations, and expansion opportunities
- Forecast accurately in Salesforce and maintain detailed records of opportunity stage, deal risk, next steps, close date, and economic buyer
- Negotiate contracts and coordinate legal, security, finance, and procurement processes to close deals within target timelines
- 3-8 years of quota-carrying B2B technology or SaaS sales experience, with a record of consistently meeting or exceeding targets
- Experience selling technical products involving cloud infrastructure, APIs, data platforms, cybersecurity, developer tools, or enterprise applications
- Strong consultative selling skills, including executive discovery, multi-threaded account management, value-based selling, and objection handling
- Comfort discussing technical concepts with engineering, IT, security, and operations stakeholders without overstating product capabilities
- Proficiency with Salesforce or a comparable CRM, sales-engagement platforms, video-conferencing tools, and pipeline reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Bonus: Experience with MEDDICC, MEDDPICC, Challenger, or another structured sales methodology; selling into mid-market or enterprise accounts; familiarity with REST APIs, cloud platforms, SSO, data privacy, or security reviews
