What You'll Be Doing as a Litigation Paralegal
This role supports litigation matters involving insurance defense, personal injury, civil litigation, landlord-tenant disputes, and a variety of other practice areas.
Responsibilities as a Litigation Paralegal include:
- Supporting cases from inception through trial
- Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
- Managing and organizing case files and litigation documents
- Conducting legal research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research platforms
- Reviewing records, evidence, and legal documents
- Coordinating depositions, mediations, interviews, and client meetings
- Working with electronic filing platforms and document management systems including Smokeball, Relativity and Infotrack
- Assisting attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, and trial
What You'll Bring as a Litigation Paralegal
- 5–8 years of litigation paralegal experience
- Paralegal certificate required, BA degree preferred
- Strong knowledge of California litigation procedures
- Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Excellent legal research and writing skills
