What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Attorney (ag) position at Estrin Legal?
Senior Litigation Associate
Hybrid
Arts District Los Angeles | Civil Litigation | Public Entity | Employment | Insurance | Personal Injury
What if the next step in your legal career as a Senior Litigation Attorney came with great litigation, great people, and offices that don't look anything like a law firm?
Our client is an established 11-attorney litigation firm located in the heart of Los Angeles' vibrant Arts District. Housed in a beautifully renovated warehouse surrounded by galleries, restaurants, and creative energy, this is a firm that has figured out something many firms haven't:
You can do serious legal work without taking yourself too seriously.
The culture is collaborative, community-minded, and refreshingly down-to-earth. Attorneys enjoy Dodger games, barbecues, charitable fundraisers, networking events, and the occasional Hollywood-style gathering with civic and community leaders. Leadership believes that excellent client service and work-life balance are not mutually exclusive concepts.
This role offers exposure to a diverse and sophisticated practice that includes:
- Public entity law and litigation
- Employment and wrongful termination matters
- Insurance coverage disputes
- Personal injury litigation
- Product liability litigation
- Commercial litigation
- Complex tort litigation
- Entertainment and intellectual property litigation
- Environmental law
- Administrative law
What You'll Do
- Conduct sophisticated legal research
- Draft persuasive pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements
- Take and defend depositions, including expert depositions
- Argue motions and appear at court hearings
- Participate in case strategy and litigation planning
- Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, exhibit management, and coordination with experts
- Conduct client and witness interviews
What You'll Bring
- California Bar membership or pending admission
- Five to eight years litigation experience
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Familiarity with public entity, employment, insurance, or personal injury litigation is highly desirable
If you're looking for a place where you can build a career, develop trial skills, work on interesting cases, and occasionally discuss strategy over a Dodger game or barbecue, this may be exactly the opportunity you've been waiting for.
