Position Summary
The Inventory Control Coordinator will work under general supervision, maintaining inventory control processes based on established business strategies to ensure continual improvement, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company policy. Being detail-oriented and analytical driven, the Inventory Control Coordinator will manage the coordination of the daily inventory of the warehouse activities and goals as they relate to these areas.
Essential Functions

- Coordinates and conducts daily cycle count activities within manufacturing areas as defined by established procedures; working with appropriate individuals to resolve issues and assisting with coordination of corporate, departmental, part-shortage, and running-change physical inventory counts
- Collects and enters data into various databases, displays data in various forms, retaining daily cycle count documentation and records of inventory system transactions while analyzing, investigating, and assisting in correcting inventory variances, using transaction records to research inventory discrepancies
- Generates daily inventory reports for various individuals and departments, generates periodic summary cycle count results reports, and assists with the communication of material inventory variances, investigations and actions taken; when required, research, recommend, and coordinate changes to Bills of Material (BOM) usage amounts based on historical variances
- Responsible for inventory transfers and adjustments to correct minor discrepancies, recommending adjustments to management for major discrepancies; with documented approval from authorized management, makes major inventory transfers and adjustments
- Perform cycle count training for team members, providing backup support and guidance for other department members as needed

Education and Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and work experience required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory control/manufacturing warehouse required
- Advanced math skills are required, including the ability to calculate material usage percentages, bill of material yield factors, and inventory variance trends
- 6 months of previous forklift experience preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with all levels of personnel
- Manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic PC skills are required, including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and email
- Experience with and working knowledge of inventory management systems and ERP/MRP concepts. Experience with QAD is a plus
- Operates forklifts, battery charging stations, and other powered material handling equipment
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in a warehouse, manufacturing, cleanroom, and/or office environment that is subject to moderate to high levels of noise, specialized apparel, safety equipment, and moving mechanical parts. There will be limited exposure to moderate levels of noise from production and warehouse areas. This position will have exposure to and use of materials listed in the company’s Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee conducts primarily heavy work with frequent periods of standing, walking, reaching, squatting, stooping, talking, listening, visual inspection, pushing, and pulling. This position requires the ability to lift up to 60 pounds rarely with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers are required.
