Position Summary
The Manufacturing Engineering Technician I works under direct supervision supporting the ink manufacturing department based on established business strategies to ensure continual improvement, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company policy. Using their technical skills, the Manufacturing Engineering Technician is responsible to support production activities such as testing, inspection, and conducts engineering tests and experiments to analyze technical operations of the machines as it relates to these goals.
Essential Functions

- Investigates and identifies production processes and efficiency problems; recommending improvements, conducting tests and evaluations to collect data or assist in research work to perform testing and troubleshooting based on production and engineering guidelines, and developing documentation for workmanship standards and assembly drawings.
- Assists APS and sales team in qualifying part quality after machine adjustments and addressing machine issues, conducting true cause analysis on a variety of issues, and examining machine performance to improve product quality.

- Provide consistent, high-quality output to ensure customer satisfaction and create value to exceed customer expectations.

- Maintain professional and technical knowledge of industry best practices by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and visiting other manufacturing facilities as needed.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent applicable education and work experience is required; an Associate’s degree is preferred.
- 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
- Knowledge and application of quality tools and data collection a plus
- Intermediate PC skills are required, including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and email.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with all levels of personnel
- Solve problems using critical thinking and sound judgment.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in a warehouse, manufacturing, cleanroom, and/or office environment that is subject to moderate to high levels of noise, specialized apparel, safety equipment, and moving mechanical parts. This position will have exposure to and use of materials listed in the company’s Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee conducts primarily medium work with frequent periods of standing, walking, squatting, climbing, and crawling. This position requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Repetitive motions (movements) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers are required.
