Groundskeeper - Hiring Multiple Positions

About the Role:

The Groundskeeper plays a vital role in maintaining the aesthetic appeal and safety of business service properties by ensuring all outdoor areas are clean, well-kept, and inviting. This position requires a hands-on approach to landscaping and routine maintenance that contribute to the overall functionality and appearance of the grounds. The Groundskeeper will work closely with management to implement seasonal planting, lawn care, and upkeep of walkways and outdoor facilities. Attention to detail and a proactive mindset are essential to identify and address potential issues before they impact the property or its visitors. Ultimately, the Groundskeeper helps create a welcoming environment that reflects the professionalism and standards of the business services industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, planting, and general landscape upkeep.

• Safely operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, hand tools, and other power equipment used in grounds maintenance.

• Maintain outdoor areas by removing debris, monitoring landscape conditions, and ensuring grounds remain clean and well-kept.

• Identify potential hazards, damage, or maintenance needs and report issues promptly to supervisors.

• Support seasonal landscaping activities and other grounds maintenance tasks as assigned.

• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including walking, bending, lifting, and prolonged outdoor work.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and complete assigned tasks accurately.

• Basic knowledge of landscaping practices and general grounds maintenance.

• Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and a positive work attitude.

• Attendance is a requirement to be successful in this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a groundskeeper, landscaper, or in a similar grounds care or outdoor maintenance role.

• Familiarity with the safe operation of groundskeeping equipment and outdoor safety practices.

• Basic understanding of plant care, seasonal landscaping needs, and general landscape upkeep.

• Certification or training related to grounds maintenance or landscaping.

• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.

Work Environment

This position primarily works outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. This role requires frequent physical activity such as walking, standing, bending, lifting, and operating landscaping equipment. Employees may be exposed to noise from equipment, dust, and other typical outdoor environmental conditions. Groundskeepers may work in areas such as landscaped grounds, walkways, parking lots, and other outdoor facility areas while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
