About the Role:
The Custodial Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring that all facilities under their management are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency. This position involves overseeing custodial staff, coordinating daily cleaning and maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Custodial Supervisor is responsible for managing resources effectively, including equipment and supplies, to support smooth facility operations. They also serve as a key point of contact for addressing facility-related issues and implementing improvements to enhance the work environment. Ultimately, this role ensures that the physical environment supports the overall business services by providing a clean, safe, and well-maintained facility for employees and visitors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in building maintenance or custodial supervision.
- Proven experience in floor care practices.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy weights safely and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong manual dexterity and physical agility to perform cleaning and maintenance duties effectively.
- Attendance is a requirement to be successful in this position.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in facilities management or related field.
- Experience with facility operations in a business services environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to custodial work.
- Previous experience in staff training and team leadership.
- Familiarity with inventory management and procurement processes.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of custodial staff to ensure thorough cleaning and maintenance of all assigned facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Manage inventory and order custodial supplies and equipment to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Train and mentor custodial team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
- Collaborate with facility management and other departments to schedule maintenance, repairs, and special cleaning projects.
- Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time
Work Schedule: Regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with rotating weekends and holidays as needed. Some morning shifts may also be required based on operational needs.
