Job Title: Assistant Controller

Salary: $130k - $150k

Schedule: Tuesday-Thursday (In Person)

Position Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to support day-to-day accounting operations and help drive financial accuracy, reporting, and process improvements across the organization. This role will partner closely with leadership and play a key part in managing the close process, overseeing accounting functions, and supporting overall financial strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and help lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Oversee general ledger activity, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Review and improve accounting processes, controls, and workflows
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Manage and mentor junior accounting staff
• Coordinate with external auditors and support audit processes
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Assist with system improvements and process automation initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior experience as a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience managing or mentoring junior team members
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or CPA track
• Experience in a marketing, advertising, or agency environment
• Exposure to project-based accounting or revenue recognition
• Experience with accounting systems and process improvements
