Estimator – Heavy Civil Construction
Seeking an Estimator to support and lead preconstruction efforts on complex infrastructure projects across the Southwest. This firm specializes in earthwork, flood control, roadways, and civil infrastructure, delivering high-impact projects for public and private clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for heavy civil projects including earthwork, utilities, roadways, and structural concrete
- Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze drawings, specifications, and geotechnical data
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive pricing
- Develop bid proposals and support overall bidding strategy
- Identify risks, cost drivers, and value engineering opportunities during preconstruction
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure alignment between estimate and execution
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions
- Maintain accurate estimate documentation and cost databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
- 2 years of estimating experience in heavy civil or infrastructure construction
- Experience with projects such as site development, roadwork, utilities, drainage, or earthwork
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and cost control
- Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., HCSS, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
