- Job Description: The Standards-Based Grading (SBG) and Curriculum Pacing Leader is responsible for ensuring consistent, standards-aligned grading practices and effective curriculum pacing across classrooms. This role supports teachers in implementing SBG with fidelity, clarifying proficiency expectations, and maintaining alignment between standards, instruction, and assessment timelines. The leader works collaboratively with staff to promote clarity, consistency, and equity in grading and instructional pacing, helping ensure all students have access to rigorous, well-sequenced learning experiences.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and refinement of standards-based grading practices across the school
- Support teachers in aligning assessments, grading, and feedback to prioritized standards
- Develop and monitor consistent curriculum pacing guides across grade levels and content areas
- Provide coaching and resources to improve grading practices and ensure clarity in proficiency expectations
- Facilitate collaboration and professional learning focused on SBG and curriculum alignment
- Use data and feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of grading practices and pacing, making adjustments as needed.
