Position Summary

The Clinical Director provides leadership to and oversight of the company’s clinical team, thereby ensuring the highest level of client-care. As a licensed therapist, the Clinical Director manages evidence-based programs and best practices to ensure our company’s treatment model is effectively implemented and compliant to all legal and professional standards.

Job Functions & Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provides company-wide leadership in mental health and addiction treatment. 
  • Designs, implements, and evaluates clinical program including but not limited to program curriculum; family program; hiring, training, evaluating, and overseeing clinical staff; and creating and maintaining staffing plan; Supervise associate therapists as needed.
  • Ensures that the clinical system’s cohesive functionality maintains addiction treatment’s best practices and evidence-based practices and that all state and other licensing and regulatory standards are followed.
  • Creates enforcement policies and procedures that hold staff accountable for their responsibilities.
  • Establishes, monitors, and reviews clinical outcomes and uses them to improve the company’s treatment program.
  • Ensures the timely completion of all clinical documentation, i.e., ASAM, biopsychosocial assessment, treatment plans, treatment plan updates, group session notes, discharge summaries, etc.
  • Supervises and direct clinical treatment team: primary therapists, counselors, counseling interns, group leaders, and contractors, including tailoring training content to ensure all staff members develop competencies specific to their role.
  • Supervises weekly clinical team meetings to ensure consistent and effectively communicates between treatment team members; Oversees clients’ development and progress and ensures a team approach is utilized in the treatment of clients.
  • Ensures that clients’ needs are properly communicated to medical, operational, and other clinical staff while maintaining the proper chain of command.
  • Facilitates groups at each program location as needed.
  • Facilitates individual and family sessions as needed.

  • Monitors, assesses, and builds staff morale, team spirit, and continuity.

  • Collaborates with the Financial Department to ensure all required insurance payments are collected and disseminates pertinent client information that would prevent payment collections.

  • Participates in assigned and proactively seeks knowledge to build competency in specialty treatments provides by Company

  • Maintains qualifications and provision of care in accordance with national acceptable standards of practices pertinent to roles based on job title.

  • Maintains knowledge of current regulatory and accreditation standards, along with federal, state, and local codes pertinent to this role and addiction treatment

  • Ensures all regulatory standards, requirements, and guidelines, including licensing boards, accreditation authorities, and federal, state, and local regulations are followed.

  • Collaborates with medical team and other clinical staff in the development and implementation of clients’ treatment and intervention programs.

  • Participates in crisis intervention and conflict resolution actions, including suicide assessments, partner abuse, child and elder abuse screening; takes appropriate measures to resolve crisis situations; implements mandatory reporting procedures in accordance with regulations (including HIPAA) and policies.  

  • Monitors clients’ conduct throughout the day.

  • Collaborates with clinical team and attends and participates in clinical team meetings. 

  • Ensures clients are attending appropriate sessions and are on time.

  • Conveys clients’ needs to medical, operational, and other clinical staff.

  • Maintains a high level of flexibility with the daily flow of work tasks.

  • Maintains proper chain of command.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree required, in a related field
  • 2 years of experience working within the Chemical Dependency field
  • An active therapeutic license (e.g., LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, etc.) and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS)
  • Meets Board of Behavioral Science’s qualifications to provide supervision to associate level therapists
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certified within 30 days of employment
  • Continued education to perform role

Salary : $60 - $85
