What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Facilitator position at EMPOWER HEALTH GROUP INC?
Summary:
The Group Facilitator is responsible for facilitating and documenting group therapy. Participates in de-escalation or crisis intervention when necessary. Communicates pertinent information and collaborates with the primary treatment team as needed.
Responsibilities:
- To facilitate mental health and substance abuse treatment groups and to properly document progress notes on all groups and log the information in the EMR system.
- Implement evidenced based modalities to assist clients in their recovery
- Facilitate psychoeducational groups and prepare group topics.
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution, preferred.
- Valid state licensure: CADC
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing counselling in a substance abuse treatment setting. Experience with co-occurring disorders preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to build rapport with clients and work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in using KIPU.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Commitment to ethical practices and continuous improvement in clinical skills.
