Group Facilitator

Summary:

The Group Facilitator is responsible for facilitating and documenting group therapy. Participates in de-escalation or crisis intervention when necessary. Communicates pertinent information and collaborates with the primary treatment team as needed.

Responsibilities:

• To facilitate mental health and substance abuse treatment groups and to properly document progress notes on all groups and log the information in the EMR system. 
• Implement evidenced based modalities to assist clients in their recovery
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups and prepare group topics. 

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution, preferred.
• Valid state licensure: CADC
• Minimum of 2 years of experience providing counselling in a substance abuse treatment setting. Experience with co-occurring disorders preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to build rapport with clients and work effectively in a team environment. Proficiency in using KIPU.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Commitment to ethical practices and continuous improvement in clinical skills.
