Position Overview
Ford of Pleasanton is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Porter / Driver to support daily dealership operations. This role is critical to delivering a high-quality customer experience by ensuring vehicles are transported safely, the lot is well-maintained, and service and sales teams are supported efficiently.
This position requires a strong work ethic, professionalism, and a team-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Transport & Handling
- Safely transport customer and dealership vehicles to and from designated locations
- Pick up and deliver vehicles for service customers as needed
- Shuttle vehicles between departments (service, sales, reconditioning)
- Ensure all vehicles are handled with care and meet dealership standards upon delivery
Lot & Inventory Management
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the vehicle lot
- Park vehicles in assigned areas to maximize space and accessibility
- Assist in vehicle staging, merchandising, and display readiness
- Perform regular lot checks to ensure vehicles are properly aligned and secured
Service Support
- Assist Service Advisors and BDC with vehicle movement and customer support
- Support Sales team with vehicle retrievals, test drive readiness, and deliveries
- Help maintain a clean and professional dealership environment
Customer Experience
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner when interacting during pick-up/drop-off
- Represent Ford of Pleasanton and El Toro Auto Group with a high level of professionalism
- Support the team in delivering a seamless and positive guest experience
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and communication
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move vehicles for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed
