Technical Sales Manager - Environmental/Infrastructure Services

Edison is partnered with a growing, privately backed infrastructure and environmental services organization seeking a hands-on Sales Manager to lead and develop a regional sales team while driving revenue growth across commercial and municipal customers.
This is a player-coach leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys building teams, holding people accountable to performance, and staying actively involved in closing complex, technical deals. The organization operates in a highly technical, service-driven environment where understanding how systems work, as well as how to sell them, is critical to success.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape the sales culture, improve performance, and scale a team in a market with strong, sustained demand.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Leading, coaching, and developing a team of sales professionals
- Setting performance expectations and driving accountability to targets
- Managing pipeline, forecasting, and overall sales execution
- Personally supporting complex customer engagements and key deals
- Translating technical solutions into clear commercial value for customers
- Partnering with leadership to refine sales strategy and market approach
- Building a disciplined, high-performance sales culture
Key Requirements (Must-Have)
- Proven experience managing and developing sales teams
- Demonstrated success coaching performance and improving results
- Strong background in B2B technical, industrial, or service-based sales
- Experience owning revenue targets, pipeline management, and forecasting
- Ability to confidently engage in technical conversations with customers and internal teams
- Willingness to work onsite 5 days per week in West Austin
Highly Preferred
- Engineering background (Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or similar)
- OR strong technical understanding of industrial systems, infrastructure, or engineered solutions
- Experience in water, wastewater, environmental, infrastructure, or utilities
- OR experience in adjacent industries such as Oil & Gas, Industrial services, Mechanical / facilities services, Energy or infrastructure solutions
- Background selling solutions or services rather than purely transactional products
- Experience operating in longer sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
