We are seeking an experienced Building Automation Systems (BAS) Controls Technician specializing in startup and commissioning to join our team in Ashburn, VA. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in system integration, troubleshooting, and performance validation of advanced control systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform startup, commissioning, and functional testing of BAS installations
- Configure, program, and troubleshoot building automation systems to ensure optimal performance
- Interpret control drawings, sequences of operation, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery
- Identify and resolve system issues during commissioning phases
- Conduct system diagnostics, calibration, and performance verification
- Provide documentation and reports related to commissioning activities
- Support handoff to clients, including training and system demonstration
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in BAS startup and commissioning roles
- Niagara N4 Certification (required)
- Proven experience working with Distech Controls product lines
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, control strategies, and integration
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- Experience with networked control systems (BACnet, IP-based systems)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Salary : $90,000 - $130,000
