We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our client's growing in the Richmond Area. The ideal candidate will be experienced in controls engineering, PLC integration, and HMI/SCADA development.
- Onsite working
- Level 2 up to $115k
- Level 4 up to $150k
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy SCADA/HMI solutions using the Ignition platform
- Integrate Ignition with PLCs, databases, and industrial networks
- Develop and maintain scripts, tags, alarms, and visualization components in Ignition
- Support commissioning and troubleshooting of control systems in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to deliver scalable automation solutions
- Document system architecture, configurations, and development standards
- Provide technical support and continuous improvement for existing automation systems
Required Qualifications
- Ignition Core Certification (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2 years of experience in industrial automation or SCADA development
- Experience with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar
- Experience with scripting (Python within Ignition) and SQL databases
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Salary : $90,000 - $150,000
