Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facilities, and systems using schematics, technical manuals, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues utilizing tools such as ohmmeters and schematics to identify root causes quickly.
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to restore or enhance equipment functionality.
- Maintain electrical systems by installing, repairing, or replacing wiring, switches, motors, and control panels—especially those involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Support facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC systems, painting (including residential painting), and general building upkeep.
- Supervise or assist with small maintenance teams or contractors during complex repairs or projects.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately in CMMS for tracking, compliance, and future planning.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance procedures to promote a secure work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to internal requests for repairs or assistance with facilities-related issues.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing or facilities maintenance environments.
- Proficiency with electrical systems including schematics interpretation and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters.
- Hands-on welding skills for repairs and fabrications.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting and programming.
- Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals effectively.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management and record-keeping.
- Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Leadership or supervising experience is preferred for guiding junior team members or contractors.
- Familiarity with residential painting techniques is a plus for facility aesthetic improvements.
